Gothic 3 Community Patch and Content mods
Gothic 3 is simply unplayable in the vanilla state, please follow this guide for the best experience. This small guide is dedicated to patching/modding the game. Before starting be sure to have clean-unmodded Gothic 3, follow the order of installation otherwise mixing it up, might cause issues within the game itself or in worst cases, the game won't even run.
1. Download the Community patch 1.75 (required)
Simple installation, run the .exe and you are done. A new game must be started, older saves will not work. Before starting the installation, be sure to have clean-unmodded Gothic 3 otherwise, the installation might not finish successfully.
This patch adds various bugfixes, widescreen support, working mouse etc.
2. Update Pack for CP 1.75 (required)
Provides even more bugfixes for the game, as well as new features such as the ability to block animal attacks, alternative diary mode, "quick looting" when pressing RMB even for items on the ground, drinking/eating while running, etc.

3. Questpack (optional)
This mod adds new quests to the game. Unfortunately this quest pack it's only in German and the English translation is very rough. Your choice, you can skip it.

4. Content mod (required)
This mod adds more armors, weapons, NPC models, new recipes, books.. and so much more! Also includes Consequences 2.02 as an optional component of the installation.
5. Inventory Mouse fix for Windows 10
This patch fixes the use of items in the inventory with a mouse click.
Extract and copy the file Script_MouseDrag.dll into the directory Gothic3\scripts.
If by any chance you get the weird face texture glitch, uninstall the Content Mod download and install the questpack with the provided update. Install Content Mod again.
